The listing, Vintage Metal Miniature Ship's Wheel & Tiller Pencil Sharpener has ended.

Vintage metal ship's wheel and tiller, probably dates from the 1970s or early '80s. Also a pencil sharpener! Wheel turns and gear moves the tiller. Nicely detailed with wood graining and an anchor on the front. Measures 3-1/4" tall x 1-1/8" x 1-3/4". Great condition. Ready to add to your miniature or pencil sharpener collection. Or to use in a mini room display or as a doll house accessory.

probably what's known as "pot metal" which is a soft alloy of cheap metals, usually containing zinc, sometimes lead and other cheap metals.
