The listing, 1GB DDR2 800 RAM for LapTop(Working) has ended.

I have a 1GB DDR2 800 SO-DIMM CL6 RAM chip for laptop..... this a Transcend brand... This is only 4 months old.... this was purchased for $50 directly from compaq.com....winning bids are final.... if I do not hear from you within 7 days I will keep your credits..... This chip works in a Compaq Presario CQ60 Model Laptop(My sisters laptop) but not mine since it only uses DDR1 chips.... I am only selling this because Compaq.com would not let me get a refund or exchange it for a different model( I ordered the wrong one)..... shipping of this item can be expected within the 7 days stated in the listia rules section... please feel free to ask any questions... but please keep in mind I am not a computer technician so I can only answer questions to the best of my knowledge... if GIN is used Ill include a wireless internal card for a compaq presario CQ60.... also ordered wrong model by mistake :P..... happy bidding and remember to bid high!!

I realize that Compaq and HP are the same...do you think this will fit in an HP Pavillion?

To the best of my knowledge it will fit most laptops that use DDR2 RAM chips..... But I am not 100% on that though... I know for a fact it works in Acers and Dell laptops..... but only the models that take DDR2 Chips.

It worked in my sisters compaq....... my compaq no..... but only because my compaq uses DDR1 RAM chips and not DDR2....... you should check you RAM chips and see if they are DDR1..DDR2.. or DDR3 chips..... DDR2 are the most commonly used.

I dont really know much about desktops and their components but Im pretty sure they use much bigger RAM chips...... by bigger I actually mean longer in size.... almost like the length of two Laptop RAM chips.... but Im not sure..... maybe the have connections in there that allow it.... all I can tell ya is to googe it or call compaq themselves and they should be able to tell you.
