These are both new, in factory-sealed packages. They are expired, but since they are in sealed packages I can't imagine they'd be dried out. Ink cartridges are so darned expensive that it's worth it to try them out if you have a printer that takes #45 ink. I don't have a printer that takes these cartridges.
Dates on cartridges are Oct 2003 and Aug 2007.
I'm actually not sure if these are expiration dates or manufacture dates.
