Your coin is a 1961 British 6 pence ( 6 pennies). It takes 10 of them to make a crown. 40 of them equals the old style Pound. The denomination was discontinued when Britan went to the decimal Pound. Insted of 240 Pence to the Pound, now it is 100 Pence to the Pound. Thought you mite like a little info on your coin.
