I bought this netbook brand new back in January 2010, and it is still in excellent condition. As the title says, I have Windows 7 starter (for netbooks) and Ubuntu Linux 11.10 installed on the HDD. I have cleared all my data, programs, and docs from both Operating Systems so that you can create your own accounts right out of the box. Also, you should know that the CPU does occasionally work hard and you can hear it especially when multitasking. It is up to you to configure the netbook correctly in order to keep it running smoothly and efficiently. When running Ubuntu Linux, expect a prompt to upgrade to the latest version (currently version 12.04). Just so you know, this netbook IS upgradable to any flavor of linux netbook edition so long as you have the time and patience to upgrade. Battery life is about 6-7 hours depending on usage.
