Stuck at a startling height of 3' 4", Clouser was a specialist at entering enemy territory by riding in a torpedo shell fired toward shore in the dark of night.

The above Clouser minnow is tied with fire-orange thread that the rock bass here seem to like, and a body made of big fly fiber and flash. The medium weight lead eyes bring the fly low in the water column, and I've found a moderate fast retrieve works for the bass here in Michigan.
