There's no torn pages or anything or any smells. The sides have a little staining and the first page has a price tag written in magic marker. If you're sense of smell is more sensitive than mine, there was at least one owner before me.

Love this! Growing up, and into my early 20s, my Grandma owned an Ice Cream Shop! So this would definitely be something I'd love to have!
