I reviewed the pattern back and the leaflet and it does not state the sizes specifically. I can tell you that the overnight duffle uses 1 5/8 yards of 45' and its length measures approximately 22 inches and the sides about 12 inches tall. These are approximate. The clutch measured 12 X 4 unfinished. The luggage tag measures 5 1/2 unfinished. Hope this helps!! You can always adjust the pattern to suit your size requirements!

I make bags...no problem...don't need pattern for self but for someone I am teaching to sew...guess that long width implies flap is attached not sewn...thanks for taking the time...

Hi! The flap is sewn on and is cut as a separate piece. Go to simplicity.com and search for 2972. This will give you a great illustration of the bag's construction.

Yikes!! I quoted the wrong pattern and size. This bag measures approx 12" X 12". You can adjust the pattern to customize the best size bag for you.
