It's alot less then that to ship this small item from the US to Canada, you checked that on the internet site right? If you take it directly to the post office and tell them you want it shipped out the cheapest this won't cost more then $5 to ship it. There is a free tracking number that comes on the customs decloration and it will track the item all the way through the US but when it leaves the border it will stop.

Plus your paying to ship that box, it it was placed into a larger bubble wrap envelop and then protected by a wrapping of clear tape it would be shipped out just fine and cost alot less, it's the box your paying for.
