My parents bought these at an estate sale and when we looked them up on Ebay just one fork was listed for 15-49 dollars. In this auction you'll get all seven sets. We decided we had enough silver to collect so hopefully these will go to someone who will appreciate them. Happy Bidding!! =]

When you looked them up on ebay, did you look up completed listings or active listings? The only way to know what they are actually selling for is to look at the completed listings. People can start an auction at whatever price they want, it doesn't mean that it sells for that though or that it is even worth that. You did post it was produced after 1940 but the company was in business until 2010 when it then merged with Continental. The reason I'm asking is because different years resulted in different patterns. According to ebay's completes listings, doing a generic search of the info you gave, I didn't find anything that sold for nearly as much as $45 a fork, let alone $19. In fact there wasn't anything single that sold. Everything that sold was either a full set of three or a mixed lot. There were 19 results and the most expensive lot that sold was a set of four forks that sold for $17.99 with free shipping and they were a different pattern than yours are. They are worth more as a set of 21, but not as much as $45 a piece. They are in really good condition, better than some listed on ebay. You should get high credits for them, especially with free shipping. Good luck!!

My dad did the research for me while he was at work and brought home a print out of the one fork that was listed for 15$ and told me that they had some listed at ridiculous prices ranging up to 49.99. Maybe, it was for a set of 3. I'm not trying to make the items seem like they're worth more than they are. I'm giving them away for free and doing this for fun. The other information he got from the guy that he bought it from at an estate sale. The guys wife had past and she was a flight attendant for many years and traveled all over the world and these belonged to her and what I listed was what we were given. I'm not interested in these nor am I trying to give false advertisement. I was just listing to the best of my knowledge. I do apologize if you find that some of the information is wrong. But I will back up that they are silver plated and made by the company I listed because its imprinted on the back of the spoons and I'm confident that the info is accurate considering my dad is a very educated man and I trust his word. I appreciate the extra info, though. Like I said, I'm not trying to up this item for more credits or something. I do not want them so that's why I'm giving them away. I figured people who have knowledge on this item would be the ones interested in bidding on it. I just do this for fun. Thanks for your feed back! =]

I didn't think you were trying to cheat anyone, I was just trying to give you some more accurate info. I'm sure your Dad is a very bright man and I'm not trying to disregard his findings. That's why I asked if he searched active listings or completed listings. Not everyone that uses ebay as a reference knows the difference. I didn't even know until after I had sold on ebay for a little while. My mom and I sell vintage and antique items and we met someone locally who informed us about it. It is a very good resource to get accurate info for what things are selling for rather than what they are listed for. I apologize if I came across as rude or anything like that. I probably do sometimes with out even realizing it. I know what you say about who made it is true. From what I can find that company did all of their flatware. I do research on any item I may be interested in bidding on, so if I find something that the seller may not have known I post it to add to the info, not to discount it. Like I said before they are in good shape and having a set that large will be worth more for whoever wins them than say a set of three. Take care and good luck!

Well thank you so much for being kind enough to give my bidders and I more information on the item. I do appreciate it and didn't think you were being rude I just wanted to make it clear that I listed what info we found on it and this isn't the type of auctions I usually do or are interested in, and didn't want anyone thinking I was trying to give false advertisement. My father just thought it might do good on here when I told him about this website and it's already acceded my expectations. So I'm happy and thank you! Take care as well! ;)
