Ok but real pics sell better than Stock photos sometimes. People don't always bid on stock photos.

Where is the power adapter to turn on the HDD?
Jun 24th, 2012 at 5:55:25 AM PDT by

It receives power from the computer power supply and all cables are there

There isn't a Power Adapter for IDE or an Adapter for the SATA Based Drves. Are they missing? This item can't be used if the Power adapter is missing.

The power adapter is in the pics > it plugs into the regular ps outlet. This is intended for internal use NOT EXTERNAL. The drive is to be mounted inside the desktop computer.

To all > this NOT for external use of a HD - The HD has to be mounted Inside the computer.

For details you can email me and I will attempt to explain the wiring. Should be self explanatory for those familiar with adding a HD.

Even for internal Use there isn't a Power source to power the HDD. Yes so you are saying that the IDE/SATA adapter plugs into the HDD then you have to plug the Power Adapter to the IDE/SATA adapter into the Power Supply and the Power Supply has the have a Power options for IDE or SATA directly to the drive. Wow this totally isn't worth it. I'd rather get a IDE/SATA

You have your opinion however this works. It is a cheap way to use an old HD.
I have one of these in my computer (sata drive in an IDE) and it works fine using the power supply IN the computer. If anyone needs instructions email me and I will send my hookups to you

I'd rather get a USB External Device worth $15-20. There are easier ways too than this to get a IDE/SATA HDD changed. Just saying since I am an IT Specialist.

If there was a model of the item they could just google it or look it up to get instructions and info on it.
