Yes they can, they make very nice house plants and will grow in a pot and hang over the sides after it fills up the pot.

I rooted two small plants two years ago. I have now two planters full. It is a very easy plant. I also have some in a flower bed that comes back every year. I have even given a lot away. All from two small plants.

No, 1 piece of a live plant. There not bulbs, you root them in water or in dirt and at every joint they root and a new plant comes, and they come back every year.

Will these survive if I get freezing for months in the Winter and Hot weather in the Summer? It looks like a cool plant and we want some out door ones for ground cover in areas. We have almost 30 acres and looking at the dirt is not much fun, we have tried some trees, wild flower seeds, grasses and other things that did not survive the Winter. Is the name of the auction the actual plant name? I could just do a search. I like to talk and these plants look neat!

You left out "wandering"...Purple Wandering Jew. It's also known as Purple Heart, or Purple Queen. Quite a beautiful plant...too bad it won't grow where I live. =(

I use to have them as houseplants when I lived in New York. Now living in Mississippi, four blocks from The Gulf of Mexico, I find it unbelievable how I can now have them growing outdoors. I recommend this plant for either the north or south!

I used to have a regular one. And yes they are indeed called Wandering Jews. So a purple one would be great!! They ARE indeed very hardy. I have never seen them outdoors, but my mom and grandma always had them growing in the house. What a find!!! How many are you selling???

Well I am thinning out min out of my flower bed and I am sending Pisces with 3 joints, that way I know that 3 plants will grow up, and they do very well in the house and don't need a lot of light like other plants do. and every joint will make a new plant.

probably about a zone 7 or 8 perennial, because they do not survive winter in Kansas City, which is a zone 6, but make lovely houseplants that will take an incredible amount of abuse and come back.
