I believe it is a child's sized washboard. I t is approximately 2 and a half feet long and about a foot and a half wide. It is from the National Washboard Company. Says it is "No. 860", if that helps. =)
Not sure. Pretty new at this. I did research a little on ebay and the average cost for this item is about $25.00, so I am sure the cost for shipping is MUCH less than that.
I have one from 1890. I am looking for another & trying to bid, but it keeps telling me I am out bid even though I surpass the current bid. I'll submitt & the current goes up ! I'm a trying
MrsRussell, I will try to give you some help.Even though the board says you must bid 92 or better. It is the or better part you need to look at.Your chances of actually bidding 1 credit over the winning bid are slim to none. I could have bid 250 and you would not know that until you bid higher than i did. That is calpled silent bidding. You have no idea what the winning bid is.
Did some research. National washboard & Columbus washboard were the two major companies to buy washboards from. It is made from glass because wood splintered and glass last longer. Thought yall would like to know. My southern twang came out; sorry about the yall. Ha
