Description

The listing, Visa Gift Card - Tiered Listing! As Much As You Wanna Bid! has ended.

Visa Gift Card - the perfect gift when you don't know what to give!

This is a tiered listing, and a *little* more accessible than some of the others I've seen.

You'll receive $5 on the card for every 500 credits bid:

0 - 499 = $5
500 - 999 = $10
1,000 - 1,499 = $15
1,500 - 1,999 = $20
...
9,500 - 9,999 = $100
...
19,500 - 19,999 = $200

The higher you bid, the more money goes on the card! No limit!

It will be mailed to you once your credits are transferred. S/H is free, USPS Priority Mail - you'll have it in 2-3 business days! An adult signature will be required so that the proper person gets the card.

Good luck and bid high!

Bid with confidence! I bring some of the more interesting and unusual items to Listia, and I have the feedback to show for it!

was just saying an amazon gift card would be easier/safer/and cheaper for you. As long as i get the $$ idc. I don't have to be your best friend to bid on your auctions.

How would an Amazon card be any easier/safer/cheaper than a Visa card? Is Jeff Bezos gonna chip in $50 if I buy one of his cards? I doubt it. And no, you don't have to be my friend to bid, but you DO have to abide by the terms of the auction, just like everyone else.

by listing the auction you are submitting to lista's rules. You can't change them to fit your needs. The credits are yours as soon as the auction ends, but. If the card should contain less than the agreed upon amount or not come at all. I can almost guarantee that the transaction will be reversed.
I have perfect feedback for over 300 transactions totaling way over 150k+ credits. I find it personally insulting that if i am the winner i would be treated like a petty criminal. with no just cause. If you have no faith in listia and how it works. Don't list. Simple as that.

As far as if i do win. I would prefer a either an amazon gift card for the agreed upon amount or a PayPal money pack. Because in all honesty the card could be for 20$ and the shipment would still say delivered.

I haven't changed Listia's rules; they really don't have something that specifically covers this. Yeah, the mod mentioned "high value" listings, but when does one become a "high value" listing - 5,000, 10K, 20K? Nothing in the rules about a specific number.

If you are "personally insulted", then dear God, DO NOT BID!

If you do win, the card will be exactly as stated in the listing. You can't change the listing to fit your needs. Oh, the irony!

Question about the shipping stipulation: are you applying this to buyers who are also reputable, especially now that its gotten so high? We have the option, as a buyer, to click "got it!" to send over the credits as soon as it arrives.....I guess the thought is that we have to trust you to send it - so are you willing to trust someone with perfect feedback, and send right away .... or still saying for sure you won't ship til A) we click "got it" or B) the credits auto-get-there (I think that takes over a week, but I might be wrong). Thanks, sorry for the wordy question ... gettin kinda late :o)

Shipping is free. As for the credit situation, Listia has failed to address this issue adequately. Expecting a Seller to send such an expense item with NO guarantee of payment is unreasonable; Winners, on the other hand, can always put in a claim to get their credits refunded if the Seller fails to follow through.

IMHO, two things need to happen:
1) Listia defines a "high value" auction, probably as being one that surpasses 10K credits.
2) For such auctions, the credits are IMMEDIATELY placed in ESCROW. This assures the Seller that the credits are available, and will be released NOT when the Winner clicks the "Got It!" button, but when Delivery Confirmation indicates the item(s) has (have) arrived.

The big question: can Listia implement such a program in such a short time? Otherwise, I have to protect myself by ensuring the credits transfer to my account before the card ships. Perfect feedback is no guarantee of future conduct; someone might decide to go rogue immediately after receiving the card!

Sorry for the wordy response, but this has been a failure of Listia to prepare for such issues.

I could be wrong so please help me understand. I was under the impression that the reason why credits are placed on hold is so that way the person who won can be assured that they get there item before credits are transfered. If a person says they got it what is stopping the seller then from not sending the item? I do see that you have a high sellers rating and I do not mean to question you in general but I am fairly new at this still and not sure if its just your auction that is like this or all. Thank :) great auction by the way!! :)

Credits are placed on hold for those who haven't YET established a solid pattern of buying and selling. When my auctions end, I get the credits immediately. If there's a problem with the item or shipping, the Winner can request that their credits be returned.

"If a person says they got it what is stopping the seller then from not sending the item?" Uh....what? Wouldn't the seller have SENT the item for the buyer to indicate they got it?

Sit back and observe the process for a little longer. I think you still have some more to learn. The best way is to list a lot of items!

That should be how it will work. There may be delays with transferring credits; that's beyond my control. But rested assured, once the credits transfer, I'll buy the card and send it out that day.
