True story: Joe Theismann almost ran me over while he was speeding into an apartment complex in Fairfax, VA. While he did get out to check if I was ok (I literally had to jump out of his way and landed with a thud on the sidewalk) he was barely apologetic. He's still revered out this way, maybe moreso than any Redskins QB ever.

Not a lot of respect for Doug around here. Most people tip their cap to his SB win, but they also realize that Doug was on the bench all year until the playoffs, and then did very little the next season. J.Theis was a long-term QB. 2 Super Bowls, 77 regular season wins. It's all about the Hogs here, and Doug wasn't part of the "Hogs", he came after. Schroeder and Rypien won in Washington, too ... but they weren't Hogs. Most respect? Jurgenson from the old teams, then Riggins, Monk, Theismann, Jacoby, Grimm, and Gary Clark. Post-Hogs, the guy who gets all the props has been Darrell Green. i think most people are still tying to block Dexter Manley from their memory, lol. He was good but the image was terrible.
I just observe. I follow the Skins because they are local. I root for a different team ... but you know that, haaa.
