I'd have to say the reading one did. When my oldest was 4 we bought it for him and by the time he was in kindergarten he was reading at a 3rd grade level. He loves to read. I'm not sure on this one as we are still in the process of using it for our youngest. He has a major speech delay so we can't tell how much he is absorbing. I know he can use the gestures on the reading DVDs though so I am fairly confident it's working on him as well. This one is the Discover one. I have some Your Baby Can Read materials listed as well and will be posting more soon. We bought the set again when it included more things so we have some duplicate items.
