Description

The listing, RCA PROVIEW CAMCORDER 12X ZOOM has ended.

This is an RCA ProView714 Camcorder.
It does not have a battery or ac adapter
I purchased this at a Hospice store and they reassured me it did work without a battery I could not test this? I have downloaded pages of the manual RCA Thompson emailed me a complete 40 page manual that I will email to the winner. I have included some of the pages. I am certain it will tell you the size of the battery it takes and how to change it? I could not figure out how to get the tape out of it as I am almost 100% sure it has one in it ,it looks like one but I cannot figure it out lol maybe if I read the manual I could figure it out ha ha.
I have never purchased anything from them that has not worked before so I am pretty confident that it will work as I am a regular customer of theirs and do allot of business with them,I have never heard anything bad about their sales practices and their items.
Free shipping with delivery confirmation/tracking.
Leave shipping address within 7 days of auctions end date or you will receive a negative feedback from me for not following through on an auction( I have had a few people I had to do that with and a month down the road they email me all mad and ask why leave a negative? well I find that very disrespectful and deserving of a negative feedback and a keeping of the credits bid because it was time and most people get paid for their time, these auctions are not always easy to list and to take all the time to take the pictures, research the product well enough so you can give proper information about it each one of my auctions I list take me around an hour and a half to complete from Start to Finish . If you dont like it then dont bid. you may bid with confidence as I am a veteran Listia member of over 1 year with no Negative feedback ratings!
Enjoy my auctions and have fun. make sure you check out my other auctions as I have something for everyone!

There's no power cord? And what type of tape does it use?

no ac adapter cord just what is in the pictures, and it looks like the mini tapes as a big tape could not fit in it,thats why I put the manual in the pictures so you could read that information because I did not know anymore about it then I said. An AC adapter cord you can order right from Amazon.com once you read the right voltage it takes or a universal adapter for camcorders as long as you look at the type of plug in it has.

Nice! i think they still sell 8mm video tapes at k-mart?? and a power supply can be found for a couple dollars at a thrift shop, just be aware of the positive+ & negative- tip & make sure the power supply matches the output voltage & amps and is dc voltage....
hope this helps?????

Often times on these units, a power source is required to eject the tape (motorized tape bay). Have a great day.

any place that sells the batteries like the universal batteries. and probably through a philips brand retailer , I was told that it worked by the Hospice gift store manager and I have no reason to doubt someone like that but to each his own. thanks

I may have a power cord to fit, if it doesn't work, will you take it back and refund credits?
Jul 17th, 2012 at 10:20:26 AM PDT by

Im sorry but I wouldnt pay to have you ship it back to me if thats what your asking as I paid money to buy it, I paid money for the shipping and the delivery confirmation so that right there is quite a bit of money just for a few credits? I cant afford to also pay someone to ship it back to me if they arent happy with it. You cannot just use any cord with camcorders it has to be specifically for a camcorder with the right output of volts/amps/etc.. because even though a cord may fit ,it might not be enough amps to run the camcorder itself thats why they all have certain types of cords for certain items. I had a tablet that the cord was bad on and I happened to have a cord that fit perfectly in it but it would not power it on because it did not have the correct amount of volts for the tablet to run properly. so if you have just any cord and get this then realize it wont work with that cord then of course its not going to work?

I stated you would have to buy a proper ac adapter for this camcorder they do sell universal adapters for specifically camcorders and that is why I also listed the pages that show you what the proper adapters volts would be so you would know which cords would work. This is a free auction and I am giving you this camcorder for free. do you realize that if you bid 10,000 credits that doesnt even cover the shipping? the cash to credit ratio(I know exactly what it is as I have researched this and also have the proof) is $1.00 for every 1,000 credits bid,so like I said if you won this for 10,000 credits that is equal to $10.00 and then if you found out it wouldnt work with your cord, you would want to spend the $11.65 in shipping for a flat rate box to ship it back to me? that makes no sense to me spending more to ship something back then to keep it? I never ship items back even if they dont work unless I spend over 20,000 credits because what i would spend in shipping of any items is taking away from that 20.00 I spent with credits so i always have to weigh what i would gain in the long run if I returned something at my expense with cash instead of just credits that I had earned.

I understand all of that and I own several camcorders so I understand completely about which power cord to use. I didn't ask you about paying for shipping - I asked you about refunding credits!! I was going to use the GIN, but I didn't want to lose that many credits and pay for return shipping - that's why I asked about refunding credits not shipping!! I was going to get it for my 8 year old.
