Please Note: Although they are STAMPED 925, (as is every ring in the attached pics,) they are NOT Sterling Silver, (as is every ring in the attached pics.) They are all actually only 'Silver Plated' despite being "Stamped 925" on the inside of the band.


MOST OF THE RINGS SOLD ON AUCTION SITES AS 'STERLING SILVER' ARE DEFINITELY 'STERLING SILVER'.
However, there have been quite a few of THESE rings, 'Stamped 925, but not sterling silver', being auctioned off too, though. Only some are failing to mention the "Only Plated" part.
The knock-offs I received were pretty obvious because of their cheap quality/ characteristics.
A couple of the characteristics of these rings are:
A stamp that says '925' inside the band, but the band being of poor workmanship. A light stamp, clamp spots/ bumps, ripples in the plating, rough spots, etc. Sterling silver items are smooth and of great workmanship. Other characteristics include a strange odor emanating from the ring, or a tinny sound when dropped. The chemicals used in the plating process often leave behind a kind of noxious smell. A genuine sterling ring would not have any kind of smell to it. All of the knock-offs sound strange when dropped.
