wow this is a great magnet, i have one of them. i have a small acrylic tank and it does'nt scratch. great for in between cleanings.I will be bedding. F&W

It should only be used on a glass aquarium though because it may scratch the acrylic ones. Sorry, forgot to put it in the description.

Yes, it's mostly for light maintenance though. It's nice for cleaning the tank every or every few days because you don't have to stick your hand/arm in the tank. The magnet inside the tank floats up to the top when you pull the other away.
