The listing, Butterfly Lover's Cupcake has ended.
This is another one of my washcloth origami creations that I'm listing. Though this cupcake isn't for edible purposes, it brings a combination of shine and butterflies. Placed in a gold wrapper, various small butterfly photos enhanced with gold glitter glue are placed among reddish-gold crystal beads that make up this cupcake. Six cloth roses(I believe silk, but I can't swear to this)of red, yellow and white top this cupcake but the highlight of this are the glittery rust colored butterflies that both surround the roses and top the cupcake. I added gold glitter glue to their antennae because originally they were clear and I believe this helps them stand out. The cupcake measures 4" high and 3 1/2 " in diameter.
For those of you who might be concerned about the item's fragility: I take much care in packing my handcrafted washcloth origami creations which includes--but isn't limited to--wrapping the item in bubble wrap, placing them in a cardboard box--perhaps not the most attractive but to serve as protection--placing in a bubble wrap parcel and sealing the parcel with clear duct tape; if I think it's needed, I'll use styrofoam peanuts. I started taking these measures when I had a couple of buyers report that USPS carriers weren't adhering to the fragile instructions. Since my "taking the matter into my own hands," there haven't been any further issues of that nature.
On a lighter note, when creating handcrafted washcloth origami, I have two goals: 1) to have the viewers forget that the item began from a simple washcloth and 2) Most importantly, to convince them that the item is worth having. I take great pride in creating washcloth origami and I believe this cupcake is a must for the butterfly lover. Feel free to inquire if you have any questions...many thanks for looking!
