windows 7 is what i have on my laptop which is where i hooked it up but my computer has a built in camera so that is why i don't need this one.

you only have to connect it to your computer and the computer will detect it and then you just follow the steps it is really very simple it install.

u can go to the microsoft website and download the latest

here is the software :http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/lifecam-vx-3000 i just remember vx 3000 was the exact same webcam i bought for 80 bucks at walmart back then

i had this webcam before and i will tell anyone this is a good webcam it has face tracking on it and its got a built in mic and the software lets u do other things with it. it is awesome.
