Description

The listing, Anime Art Commission has ended.

You are bidding on a Anime style art request :) I will NOT draw already characters from already made anime/manga. That would be copyright infringement. I will only draw original characters.

The drawing will be colored in Copic Markers and colored pencils for the colors I do not own in Copic.

I will mail it to you :) If bidding go's over 250 I'll include 3 kawaii magnets :3 If bidding go's over 500 I'll include a chibi anime bookmark. If bidding reaches 1000 (which I doubt it will) I'll double everything! Which means 2 drawings, 2 chibi bookmarks, and 6 kawaii magnets :)

Thanks for looking!

Love ur work! BTW its not against the rules to do copyrighted characters, Its just against the rules to sell someone else's art as your own. As long as you did the pic, no prob!! :3

Sorry, but PezGirl is misinformed. It is definitely copyright infringement to copy someone else's art and sell the copy, whether or not you give credit to the original creator, most especially licensed characters. You can draw them for your own enjoyment but as soon as you ask for money you are breaking international copyright law.

"I will NOT draw already characters from already made anime/manga. That would be copyright infringement."

As long as the individual receiving the art does not intend to use the art for commercial purposes (resale, tv show, advertisement, etc.), the art is safe under fair use. In the US, anyway. If the art is used commercially, that individual is in trouble, not the original artist. You are offering your services, not a specific product.

By the way, I recently did some similar art service auctions. There isn't a lot of demand for them on Listia, but I have received a good sum of credits for a fan art piece and two original character pieces. The fan art piece is OK in regards to copyright law, because I was not offering that character as a product. I was simply offering my service as an artist. If you mass produced these magnets, they would be copyright infringement, but since you are doing the art at the request of each individual, you are safe. Confusing, I guess, but that's how the law works. That's why fan art is permitted in commissions. People ask you, for example, to draw Chun-Li from Street Fighter in your style, and they are just paying you for your time spent, not paying you for rights to the character.

Let me know if you have further questions.
