I just uploaded two more pictures. One from the start up screen, the other in a pokemon center. Ruby was in my GBA slot in my DSlite, if you can tell, and the game is in working condition. But as stated, the internal battery is dead so no clock. Other than that, the game is in perfect working condition.
It has an existing game on it but it only has two badges, just checked it. The only thing wrong with this is the internal battery is dead and clocked based events will no longer work. just told me that when I turned on the game.
No, it will still save. Everything is perfect except for the clock. I havent played 3rd gen in a while, but I dont even think there are that many time events in the game, correct me if im wrong.
The clock battery is maintained with a pulse crystal. It can be replaced, but you'll have to look up how if you want to diy, or where/who can do it for you should you wish to have it fixed. My sapphire has the same issue and I need to do the same. Watching in the meantime, would like to possibly have both 3rd gen games. =)
hey zach, The only timed events I know of are day/night In 3rd gen. during that time, is literally the only time you can find specific pokemon like uhh.... hoot hoot? I think that's right Anyway day/night really has no effect on the gameplay.
If my memory serves correct, 3rd gen took out time and day all together. I think 2nd gen and 4th gen are the only ones with that. Hoot hoot is in C/G/S. But thanks for the heads up! You may be right, 3rd gen was my least played out of all the pokemon games.
