It's perfect for ice fishing. The stainless steel coiled spring retracts the 60 pound test line when the bait is taken. It's pre-wound with 9'-12' of 60 pound test nylon line. Great item for any survival kit or backpacking trip. The reel is very compact, measures 2-1/2" X 3/8" and is MADE IN THE USA.
