This is a VET RECOMMENDED, over the counter product for Hot spots and areas on the skin that look like it will soon develop Hot spots. It kills topical Bacteria, Fungus and Viruses, and especially kills staphylococcus intermedius bacteria. Hot spots in dogs are commonly associated with staphylococcus intermedius.

Your dog will have signs of Hot spots when it starts doing a lot of rubbing, scratching and biting due to intense itching. You may start seeing reddened areas and hair loss.

Sergeant's VetScription Benadene contains NO alcohol and is a non-stinging formula.

EASY TO USE: Trim the hair where the sore is and around it. (Each if there is more than one) The gel stays on and doesn't slide off the skin. Clean and dry the area of application. Make sure to apply the gel to the sore AND slightly around it so it doesn't spread. Do this with the applicator tip and rub in a little. Usually by the next day a scab forms and the quick healing begins.

Active ingredient is Benzalkonium Chloride.

Can be used on puppies age 7 weeks and older.
