That's a great question, I'm not sure. I bought the light skinned one from Japan 4-5 yrs ago and the dark skinned one from an antique store a few years ago. Hope that helps answer your question! xoxo

Hi, I'm a lupus mom too. Do you have it or have a child with it. I was diagnosed in 2007. I love Kewpies. Looking at the back do they have a tiny set of wings? I just got my first one and it has little wings molded in the rubber. Maybe they are angels. I collect angels and love vintage ones. Watching and bidding.

Hi! I'm happy you found me! It's nice to know of others with the disease too. I was diagnosed in 2005 with Lupus and fibro in 2005, and a year later it turned into lupus nephritis. But by the grace of God I was able to have a little girl in 2009. How many kiddos do you have? So nice to meet you!

Ps. These little cuties don't have wings, but that sounds adorable!!

I have 4 children but was diagnosed in my 40's. My kidneys and lungs are where this disease likes to do it's dance. But you keep pushing on. It did cost me a 25 year marriage. Just could not handle a sick spouse but I'm okay. All my kids are grown except for my daughter who is 17. The sun and heat the last few weeks have been tough for me.

Mine has little wings but looks just like these two. I love Kewpies. My mom had one and she was born in 1935.

I fanned you so we can keep in touch. Nice to know another lupie!

Oh wow :( I'm so sorry about your marriage. You're a very strong person, and if he couldn't deal with the good/bad, then he didn't deserve you to begin with.

I love kewpies too :) I have a larger one I'll be parting with soon, if I can figure out where I put it. hehee
