Yeah I know it's a bummer. My current new strategy is to go to gadget and gizmo sites and look for interesting reasonably priced things then list them as items which I will then drop ship to the winner. That's sort of my contribution to Listia and hopefully a way to get good points.

If I was the best seller I would have tried them out before selling. Oh well, I'm going to get one of these fountains for my brother's dogs for Christmas and maybe list more next year.

This is so awesome. I love it...the problem is I don't think my dog is smart enough to use it, lol. I love my mutt, but she is dumber than a box of rocks, lol.

The video shows a puppy learning but I suppose you could be right. Most dogs are supposed to be able to learn. I guess you'd feel pretty bad if your dog was among the ones who couldn't figure it out :-(

This is so cool, will it work for small dongs, or do you have one for small dogs?? I have a Chuaua, a Minpin & a Pom.

I think there is just one size, but this video, http://www.youtube.com/v/hCistkCx-zA, shows a German Shepard Puppy using the fountain, so maybe a small do would still manage too.

This is so awesome! My dogs would LOVE it!!I have an older dog that is super picky about her water...if anything gets in it, she wont drink it...lol!! So this would be perfect:)

Neat! Wonder if my dogs would be smart enough to figure it out...

Yeah that's a worry. I guess the inventor should give indications as too which breeds are usually smart enough to figure this out, or some assurance like 90% of all dogs tested figure out how to work the device or something similar. Here is the website of the inventor: http://www.doggiefountain.com/. On his site he is strangely selling an older version. However if you look at his News section, it is clearly the same inventor: http://www.doggiefountain.com/News.

Here is video with a puppy who's learned on a apparently a prototype of the newest version: http://www.youtube.com/v/hCistkCx-zA

I am not sure if this will be a good idea because I attached a hose to another pet water fountain and the hose started to expand kindly like plans to explode!
Jun 26th, 2010 at 5:32:15 PM PDT by
Original
That sounds serious but I think you can get good quality hose that will be able to keep continuous pressure say for a timed sprinkler.
Jun 26th, 2010 at 7:54:11 PM PDT by
Original
I wish the hose was longer :{
Jun 26th, 2010 at 5:10:24 PM PDT by

Can't you just attach a hose to it?

and whenever i put water outside its gone in a few seconds and im not always home
so this would be great :)

Awesome. Good luck in bidding. Otherwise it's kind of expensive. I think Taylor Giftsalso sells it. They want $39.95 and $9.95 shipping. These should come down in price next year I think. I know that's not going to fill the bill for your pregnant dog.
