This system has been reflowed and repaired by myself to the point of booting to the XMB it will download and play games and demos from PSN, music,movies and pics it will even surf the net because wifi works.
I do not guarantee the bluray drive or the hdmi port to work and this will need a hard drive and controller because of this it is listed as a parts or repair console with no refunds

, comes with the power cable and av cable

it is a backwards compatible unit that will play ps1 and ps2 games as well once the drives are replaced

there is no free shipping as I cannot afford to offer it. I do not accept paypal, I only accept Postal money orders and concealed cash. I ship out every two weeks according to my pay schedule.I thank you in advance for your patience

update. The bad bluray drive will come with this however the controller board from the drive is the only thing attached to the system which is what enables the system to boot and play demos and downloadable games from the playstation network, without it recognizing the drive or controller board attached it will not play any type of games. hope that makes sense.

on top of needing a hard drive it states in the auction and title that it also has a bad bluray drive.( the device that takes the games on disc and reads them). also you need a controller too. Please read the details. nobody ever reads the listing and its really quite bothersome. good luck

I have no Idea I tried using it and the picture gets scrambled so I don't think it is working properly. and that's with changing the settings in the video menu of the xmb. thanks for looking

Quick question...you say that the screen gets all scrambled when tried through HDMI. What kind of TV are you trying it on? I ask because my friend has a 50" RCA projection tv that will not play HDMI, even though it is HDMI compatible. It cannot handle the high resolution. When you hook it up, it scrambles and looks like it splits the screen into 3 scrambled screens that you cannot see well.
It works fine on my tv though.

It's the one seen in the picture. I know the hdmi works on the tv itself because I've used my 720p alienware m11x without a problem. 32ln 2008 off brand model...so I'm assuming its something with the ps3...I wish I knew more...oh and the screen doesn't split it just scrambles the picture like you are trying to watch the old unpaid cable channel boxes...hope that makes sence
