This is a neat mining badge in great condition. clasp on back good. the top are two shaking hands, and bleow, a badge that measures 2 1/2 inches across. around the medal part it reads, united we stand, divided we fall, in union there is strength. in the middle two shaking hands, wit umw of a written above the nads. april 1st, 1898. the middle is almost a bakelite material. i dont know if this date is representative of some special event, or the pin is actually that age. however, it is definately old. i always ship at a reduced rate, however, it the bid goes over 2500, i will ship for freeVINTAGE MINING BADGE is in the Antiques category
