Description

The listing, VTech InnoTab Learning App Tablet has ended.

Once I got my daughter a DS, the InnoTab was put in a corner and forgotten. I got it for her this past Christmas, so it hasn't been used that much. Comes with the tablet, user's manual, USB cable, stylus and an AC adapter. I reset it so it wiped out my daughter's stuff, but I kept the games I had downloaded from the VTech site on an SD card that is included. The second photo shows all the games on the SD card. You can go to vtechkids. com and dowload their Learning Lodge to get more downloads and to change settings on the tablet. You don't need to hook it to the internet to play it or to do anything with it. Game cartridges can be bought at WalMart, I just never got any. The tablet works great, but I have noticed that when you go to type something, it's out of calibration. The games all work, it just does it when you are typing something in.
Shipping is $3 but I am sending it Flat Rate Priority because of the weight of it. I take PayPal or money order for shipping.
Please ask questions before bidding. No credit refunds unless the item is shipped back to me in the same condition it was sent in.

How much for shipping to 33880? Or do you charge 3$ regardless? Thanks

I am charging $3 regardless of where you live. The whole thing is over a pound so I figure sending it Priority Flat Rate is the cheapest or best way to go and that is $5.35 or so.

Also, what do you mean by "out of calibration"? The typing function works, correct, just not perfectly? Could you be more specific about that issue please. Thanks

This is kinda hard to explain without the InnoTab in front of you. When someone types in a word or name, you use a keyboard on the pad, just like a smart phone or tablet. The keys, like e, r, & t are out of sync with the keyboard. Like to type an "e" you have to touch the far left side of "q". To get "r", you have to touch "w". But this doesn't happen every time and with every letter. As far as I can tell it doesn't affect game play and it might just be something that happened to me LOL.

I believe it's for ages 6-9, but my 5 year old played with it. A 4 year old could use it, too.

Hello Seller, I would like to add a few more words to your description in regards to this Innotab. Dear watchers/potential bidders, I owned 2 Innotabs. I bought it for my almost 2 year old son. Believe it or not, he is able to operate it very well indeed. Although the age recommendation is for 4-9 years, I have to say it fits better for 2-4 years old, or 5 at most simply because older kids these days are so exposed to iphone and ipad , ds and all fancy stuffs that they might think it's not that interesting.

This is a great "entertainment" system for my 2 year old, mostly to watch videos, play games, color, view photos, and just typing for fun. To make full potential use of the machine, you have to invest a lot of TIME on it. Also I recommend getting a 16GB SD card (Amazon sells $12 or so). You can download videos from youtube and convert it to innotab files. You can also convert some DVDS (not Disney due to rights) too. This process is very "complicated" if you have no idea what to do, but thanks to "travisgrindal" from youtube, he gives step by step instruction (and free softwares link) to teach hopeless mom / grandparents like me. Search "Convert YouTube Videos to Vtech Innotab for Free" in youtube. He also posted lots instructions to convert videos to youtube, and how to add thumbnail. These were not provided by Innotab (too bad, the company makes a machine but not teach us how to use it).

Oh, by the way, there is a coloring section in the innotab, where you color it, and press the "eye" icon and you can tilt the tablet to see the picture moves. That's something new!

Battery usage: You better buy 2 sets of rechargable (tablet takes 4 AA) because this tablet drains a lot of battery power! I have to change battery everyday! (average play time 3-4 hours).

Enjoy and good luck!

Kayarich, thank you for the info on putting DVDs on the InnoTab. I never thought to do that. I just put some songs on it and the downloaded games. My daughter was 6 when I got it for her. She got bored after a couple of months. My son, who was 4, enjoyed it more. We don't have an ipad or iphone, but we did get a couple of Nintendo Ds Lites. They did like the coloring book app on the InnoTab - and yes, it does move. LOL
As a special bonus to the winner, I will put in four rechargeable batteries (they are charging right now). I debated on putting them in the auction, but I don't need as many of these type batteries now that I won't have the InnoTab ;~)

Rechargeble batteries, I bought like 100-200 of them! My son has way too many toys that uses batteries
