The listing, Medieval Gold and Red Gem Earrings has ended.

These dainty medieval-looking antique earrings are absolutely stunning, and feature screw backs, a central red stone, and 4 tiny white gems at each cross point. As I do not see any markings on these earrings, I assume they are rhinestones, but it is possible that they may be real gems. The earrings are in excellent condition and would make an excellent gift!

They are actually quite small as you can see in the pic with my fingers. I do not have them in front of me, but I would guess from end to end is approx. 3/4 inch. Their size is what makes them so beautiful, I think, though, as they are surprisingly detailed!

They are beautiful. The pictures up close show the incredible detail! Then I saw screw-backs which I guess are not pierced! Haha but these are just about too pretty to pass up:) Watching!

Thanks for your interest! I think a good jeweler can easily switch these from screw-back to post, if you so desire it. Just takes a quick soldering job!

You know, I did not even think of that, Thanks! I was thinking of something like a Pendant?! I love unique just one-of-kind pieces of jewelry, such as these. To me it is definitely like looking at a painting I love , another form of art. Obviously I have never attempted to create jewelry like so many others I see on Listia! I do not have a clue how they would be "incorporated" into a pendant or used on a bracelet. Probably due to their size, your idea makes a lot more sense, than mine! Thanks! Sometimes when I see something that "catches my eye" I come back & look at it again & again. They are just truly beautiful, thanks again!

Yeah, I hear you... I am always thinking about how things can be repurposed as well. I made an unusual button from my grandmother into a pendant a few years back. And these earrings are really cool... especially if you like medieval/renaissance/victorian style pieces.
