Wow! These will get attention and make all your neighbors envious!

Ours are up to 8' tall spikes of beautiful Pink flowers will add country charm, and color to your garden or yard.

Perennial or Biennial
Up to 8' tall
Easy to grow
Perfect along a fence, house, garage, or retaining wall.
Seems to be drought tollerant, I do not water them very often.
They usually do not need staking unless there are very strong winds.

The lucky winner will receive 10 seeds from this year's plants. They are still blooming at the top, but the lower seed pods are already dry.

If this auction goes over 300 credits, I will add 10 more seeds. A total of 20 seeds.

I did a search for more info. on Hollyhocks. Here are a few of the links to find out more:

This link states the leaves and flowers are OK to eat, and contain nutrients. Use flowers to decorate cakes, etc. How pretty!

This link says they bloom 2nd year, in July, Aug. Sept. Mine bloom in mid May, June, to mid July, so far here in NE. The weather is changing.

With their showy blooms and giant stature, hollyhocks (Alcea rosea) make an interesting addition to any cottage garden.
The plants can reach heights of 6 to 9 feet and work well as a background plant to add height or to cover up an ugly wall.

Most of them said they do not bloom the first year, but will form pretty leaves and a deep root system. One told how they made it through a flood. So just be patient, it will be well worth it!

If you love Hollyhocks, check out my other auctions for Burgundy/Wine, White Double Hollyhock seeds, and Country Garden Mix (all 3)!
