Description
The listing, Agave Infants has ended.
Winner gets one of the three smaller "infants" pictured here, my choice. The two "toddlers" are being offered in another auction if you would like to take a look. The 3 new pics of my "almost" mature specimen is what I believe to be agave americana-americana, the 4th pic displays whet it will look like at full maturity and is not mine but a pic from Wikipedia.
Questions & Comments
Oh--that sounds very cool . . . does it pup? They are technically leaves, but sometimes called blades or spears . . . Spears sometimes seems very apt! Is your garden all in containers? Do you grow any aloes?
I have a couple aloes and I have both potted and garden plants...I'm about to plant the potted teen-age Agave pictured in the ground. Yes they pup...that's where I got these. I have all sorts of stuff...I can't begin...
Sorry I didn't think to update directly but I put new pics and info up on the auction. Please check out. I want these babies to find good homes...I have too many plants waiting to be auctioned off.
The two last photos you posted look like two completely different species. The last one looks quite a lot like my blue agave. I have an auction up for pups of that one. The one before it looks quite a bit different than mine . . . .
Did you see it before it reached maturity because I wondered myself...But I got the teen from an Agave which looks like the one in the wiki pic and the toddlers are descendants of my teen...but theBlue is Americanas also? because the one featured in the wiki pic is americanas and look exactly like the mature one I no longer have which is the toddlers and infants grandmother.
And lots of cannas, gingers cacti, succulents..all of which will eventually be auctioned here...even Plumeria as well as Heliconias, and exotic irises and lillies and trees ....I have an Orchid Tree but I need to grow some seedlings...I would sell seeds but I prefer knowing the seed will become a plant...seeds are overly-neglected.
I have the...(I'll have to look up the species name) ...one which only grows up to 3 feet and its leaves are only about 1/8-1/4" wide and as an adult about 20" long with wispy white curls on the sides of each "leaf" sline? spine petal??? What would you refer to these as?
I don't think it'll be over $4 but its hard to tell and if the winner likes I might throw in an extra one or something else...will discuss. Keep bidding! Thanks everybody!
