I grew up with the "old country music". My mom was born in Tennessee and was raised in Virginia. My uncle was once offered a chance to perform from time-to-time on the Grand Ole Opry, but turned them down. We used to go down there (from Michigan) to visit my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. When word got around (no telephones), I don't know how, but suddenly a bunch of them came to grandma's house, we enjoyed a lot of good "old country music", Bruswick Stew, a little dancing, lots of singing, good fun! Grandparents and others are gone now, the music we enjoyed is now "oldies' country" and we don't hear it much any more.I sure miss all these good times. Hope I did't bore you to death with old-time reminisce. Tell your husband "hi, how y'all and come back, again y'hear!"
