Up for auction is a good used copy of "LIBERTY, THEN & NOW", Spring 1974 issue. It's largely dedicated to John Wayne and the Movie Cowboys (and their sidekicks).

There are black and white photos of William S. Hart, Harry Carey, Hoot Gibson, Tom Mix, Buck Jones, Tim McCoy, Gary Cooper, Ken Maynard, Bob Steele, Tom Tyler, Johnny Mack Brown, Rex Bell, Yakima Canutt, William Boyd (Hopalong Cassidy), Gene Autry, Tex Ritter, D*ck Foran, Roy Rogers, Randolph Scott, Lash LaRue, The Lone Ranger and Tonto, Smiley Burnette, Big Boy Williams, Gabby Hayes, Ward Bond, Fuzzy Knight, Leo Carillo, Walter Brennan, and more.

Some of the pictures are a whole page, while others are a third or a half of the page. I've scanned one of the inside pages to give you an example, but I tried to handle the magazine as little as possible to keep it in good shape.

It's in pretty nice condition for the age! Also included with this is a December, 1971 newspaper article about John Wayne. It's about three pages long, and is in OK condition (can be read easily, but has folds and some spots and a few tears). It was found with the magazine, and since it's about Wayne, probably has some interesting tidbits.
