The listing, VINTAGE HAND PAINTED RUSSIAN BROOCH has ended.

*NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN ANTIQUE!! IT IS VINTAGE!*
Russian Hand painted lacquered brooch signed by artist (on front). Upon researching this item I have found that some of them are wood and some are paper mache. I am not sure what this one is but it is very lightweight. It really is a beautiful piece!! I estimate that it was made sometime in the 70's. It is very detailed with the picture depicting a man and his horse sitting outside of a small village...the painting process is long and tedious, requiring the artist many hours to complete. Pin in back is secure, and the brooch is in excellent condition! Measures approx 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches.
