The listing, 1943 Steel Penny has ended.
Genuine 1943 Steel Lincoln Cent. Issued during WWII due to a shortage of copper. Much of the available copper was being used to produce bullet casings, so the US Mint tried steel as a replacement.
These have been cleaned to expose the steel underneath decades of dirt and rust. These were not high grade coins, so cleaning was not really that much of an issue.
You will one (1) Steel Cent. It may be from any of the three primary Mints: Philadelphia, Denver or San Francisco.
Shipping is FREE to the US. International shipping is via USPS 1st Class International Mail; the cost varies due to country and will be determined at the end of the auction.
