The listing, Creepy Ring ( haunted?) has ended.

Heres the deal.....About 3 months ago I found this ring in the woods while metal detecting.I don't know much about it, it has a little door on the front that has problems staying latched.The weird thing is Since I brought it home It never stays where I put it.Numerous times I set it on the counter and it ends up on the floor.I think it may be haunted.It has no marking on the inside.

Just one more comment - things move in my house constantly and... disappear. Anyone have any suggestions on why my cat litter scooper and remote control are nowhere to be found ?

It really is a pretty ring. Did you find anything else around it. It's does not look that old but that's pretty deep. Maybe it was doing that for the person and they got rid of it. Love to find out if it keeps doing it after it leaves your house. I told my daughter and she said we have the penny moving all over the house do we need something else. Lol

AND they could take a whiff of the product inside to combat the overwhelming odor of the sewer....anyhow...I had seen that described on antiques roadshow....

It is a pray box ring. And if it doesn't stay where you put it take it back to the woods. If you know what a pray box is the ring is just like it only it is a ring I have about 3 pray boxes and it is to put prays in them.

Hi, you found it on (under) the earth. It keeps trying to be down (under) the earth. God bless you, sending prayers and protection your way.
In the meantime, "clear" it! Place it in the freezer...NOT wrapped, no tupperware, nothing...just set it in freezer and leave it there for 3 days and 3 nights. DO NOT TOUCH IT, until after the entire 72 hours has passed. Kate :)

I don't know how old the ring is, but, they used to have rings like this in victorian days when the sewage systems were not up to par...when a refined gentleman or lady would have to walk in the street, they could fill the compartment with a perfumed salve or like product

It is quite interesting.. not only the ring but the many beliefs of what it is. Is it silver ? Also I'm going to add my 2 cents :) although it is unique looking (kinda creepy) and I can't explain why it moves. It looks to me as though the poison ring might not be far from wrong. I was thinking a cocaine ring. They use to store their drug in it and were able to sniff from it. Just saying. F & W and bidding

My guess is it is a poison ring. A long time ago rings had compartments that held poison in them. As far as moving well I have a Wheat penny dated the year my mom was born. She passed away in 2000 and I keep it in a God jar with a lid. We find it all over the house. So who knows what this ring is all about.

It could be.I found it near a tree about 5 inches in the ground.It's kinda weird how it keeps falling off of stuff when I have it up high where nobody can touch it.
