I have owned this for a long time (although I just bought the 2 tapes new for this auction). Not sure how old it is, exactly.

A 3rd tape came in the pack, but I used it to test and retest the recorder, to make sure it was in good working condition. Most of the time, it worked beautifully!

HOWEVER, there were a couple of times where some fairly intense static was heard. Then the static did fade away.

I don't know if I had just recorded too close to the mic, or if there is some other random issue with the recorder.

After the 2 episodes of static, I tested the machine many times, to see if the static would come back, and it didn't.

SO -- I honestly don't know EXACTLY what kind of shape this device is in. Sounds great to me almost all the time, lately, through tests. But, I don't want to promise it will have perfect sound all the time, or even function perfectly.

On the other hand, there is always the possibility that there could be glitches to deal with (re: ANY electronic devices, etc., in general).

Prior to the recent tests I have been running, the recorder had not been used in a long time. So, I did my best to feel good about how it is working now.

Hope someone can find a use for it, and it will make them happy. It's a neat little recorder, and has cool features (see pics).
