The listing, Jan Raven Silver & Gold Woven Wire Earrings NEW has ended.
Up for auction is a pair of earrings created by artist Jan Raven. The center portions are woven by hand. They have an outer gold color and only the woven parts are silver. I don't think I'm allowed to put a link in the auction, but if you look up JanRa Jewelry on the internet, you can better see the design colors and how clear they are.
My photos didn't turn out, so I scanned them, but the glare from the scanner makes the gold parts look silver, and they look fuzzy instead of sharp.
Unfortunately, I have developed an allergic reaction to earrings, and can no longer wear any kind. And I have never worn these, but they are absolutely stunning!
An excerpt from the artist's description: " My jewelry is created entirely by hand using sterling silver, 14 kt. gold fill wire, and natural gemstone beads. I use a variety of braiding and weaving techniques to work the wire into shapes and patterns. Some of the techniques are textile-based, some are based on "fancy sailor's knots", and one is a historical weaving technique from the Viking-era of the 8th century. Each piece is made by hand without the use of forms, jigs, or solder."
Original retail price: $40 - $45. If you like hand-crafted, unique jewelry, you will LOVE these!
