Description

The listing, Garlic Chive Seeds, 100+ Seeds~Perennial*Easy To Grow*Great on Baked Potato! has ended.

Chives are very low maintenance once you plant them and water until established. They will come back every year, early in the spring. Then they will flower with pretty round Purple aromatic flowers.

Most of the flowers on mine have already dried and are producing seed. The Chives are still Green. We are still enjoying the Chives, and will be able to eat them all summer.

These are fresh seeds from our chemical-free garden.

Chives may also be planted indoors in a window sill garden for quick access when cooking.

Chives are great in many dishes including Salsa, Scrambled eggs, Potato salad, Chicken salad, and Casseroles. I love them on top of Sour Cream on a baked potato!

It seems faster to cut them up with kitchen shears instead of a knife. Sprinkle on top of the dish just before serving.

They smell slightly like Garlic, but I cannot taste the Garlic. It may be my taste buds:)

The winner will receive 1/8 t., over 100 tiny seeds. Enjoy!

Check my other auctions to see if there is anything else you want! I have Organic Wheatgrass seeds, Hollyhock seeds (3 colors), Morning Glory seeds, Phlox seeds, Choke Cherry seeds plus an Easy Jam recipe included with Choke Cherry seeds, DIY Seeds Packets, & more.
Questions & Comments

can they be planted in a slightly shady area or do they need lots of sunshine?

They will grow in partial shade just fine. I let a volunteer tree grow by the garden, and it really helps during this draught we are having now in NE. Sorry for the delayed reply, had major computer problems.

I just shared on my facebook page with a little note: Yummy, come back year after year, and the cheerful flowers attract beneficial insects!
