Description

The listing, FAKE Pokemon Cards - Lot of 7 has ended.

If you have ever wondered what a fake card is or are worried about your child beginning their own collection and getting ripped off by buying or trading for fake cards, this lot is for you. These are typical fake cards and are a great judge when deciding whether a card is fake or not. Not sure if anyone would want to bid on something like this but it is worth a shot. :)

They were not made by the Pokemon company but are, instead, knockoffs made by some other person. They use the wrong materials and are often printed from scans of the original card. They are flimsy and not acceptable at Pokemon trading card game leagues. They are not worth anything compared to the real cards and are often sold at very cheap prices to unsuspecting Pokemon lovers. Mine were sold to me by an uneducated Pokemon collector and I thought it would be a good idea for other Pokemon collectors to know about fake cards so they would not go through what I did by wasting money buying "illegal" cards.

Fake cards are often made to look like really rare, expensive cards so that they will sell better. If you ever see a really good card at a cheap price, I would stop and check to see if it is fake or you could get ripped off.

Thanks...i went on the pokemon dot com to check the cards we have, and it was about half and half.the numbers arent the same like number 23/145 is 23/144....very close, but not right...plus some of the pictures are really badly drawn.at least 3 of the 5 foils we have are real...thanks again.

On that 23/145 compared to 23/144 thing: Make sure you check to make sure they are the same set. There are some cards that look the same but are from different sets and each set has their own number of cards. The 145 and 144 on those cards represents the number of cards in the set. You can tell what set they are from by checking in the bottom right corner of the card for the newer sets and bottom right corner of the picture for the older sets. If the symbols are the same, one of those cards is probably fake. If the symbols are different, then they could both be real cards. If you want to know for sure what to look for in a fake card, bid on this auction and get some fake cards if your own to compare against.

Red HP points does not always mean they are fake. Some sets were made with red HP points and are supposed to be like that. If you are unsure, go to this website to check if it is supposed to have the red HP points or not. Look up the set ad the card number to find the one you are looking for.
