Its unisex,Water resistant,battery operated and chrono..Swiss movrment and i cant find quartz anywhere on the piece,sorry.

its unisex,water resistant,Battery operated...The back is high polished stainless steel secured with 4 screws..It does not say whether or not its Quartz,...Im a newbie at this,Itll take a few times to remember all the things people need to know,Again,My apologies :O)...It also is Swiss made...A beautiful piece...Thank you for your interest...

Yes,Its brand new,It does need a battery,I may put one in,But its a little tricky lol,,The back is screwed on..So bringing it to like k mart or a jeweler may be the smarter thing to do as thier are NO scratches :O) Thank you also!
