The chain is stamped .925, but the part with the stone is a little bit darker than the chain, b/c of some wear, but it's not bad at all.

It is definately smaller than a dime too. It's the same size as the purple heart one.

I would say that it is not a real stone, the chain is stamped. 925, but the chain is silver colored & what the stone is on is a little bit darker like it's been wore out a little, but it's not bad. And the stone is a little of a lighter colored purple than the purple heart necklace.
