A fascinating combination of weaving and sewing! Tubes of fabric are woven in the classic tumbling block pattern without ever having to sew a "Y" seam. No piecing or quilting is required! NOTE: These are patterns only - no material included.

#1 - Reversible table runner or placemats
Completely reversible, so you may choose to use a different border fabric on each side to make two different
looks.
Makes a 18 X 48" table runner or 5 12 X 17" placemats0

#2 - Lined tote bag with optional zipper

The color play of the tumbling block design depends upon the selection of fabrics. One light, one medium or bright and one dark colored fabric are required. Solid color fabrics are ideal but ton on tone fabrics or a very small print may also be used. You may find it easier to choose a border print that you love and then choose coordinating dark, medium and light fabrics.
