Welcome!! It does take awhile, but I had some pretty good teachers, and would be willing to "mentor" you a bit if you like. Just answer your questions, offer you tips etc. My auctions are pretty successful now, but that from lot's of practice and lots of teaching!

I will say one thing-nicely. I noticed you offered pics on your auctions, that is the # ONE thing you want to do when you start posting. That and have verification. Even
if you take one large composite picture showing everything clearly-important-CLEARLY, that at least gives a potential buyer a much better idea of what they are bidding on and that you actually have the item.Make sure you do not rely on stock photos. If you do use a couple, put your name and Listia number on a sheet of paper and place it right near the item.
Also make sure you have at least provided you phone number and/or credit card info. This gives buyers so much more security that you are who you say you are! There is a lot of scamming going on on Listia, so this will help people know-hopefully-that you are not one of them. Lastly, and sorry so long. make SURE you deliver as promised!! If you offer an item,make sure you have it available, make sure to charge credit for credit (there is a scale) AND THEN SEND THE DARN THING!!

Way too much of that going on...especially with "Newbies, but not just. Even well established Listians are pulling that rotten stunt lately. People bid on you item-and win it-because they want it. not a dam run-around,and then a dispute waiting to get their credits back!

Oh thank you so much Kate. I am being a little bit selfish in my advice. right now i have lost 5 items due to just not being sent, and another one being delivered to the wrong place. I did open a Dispute re:this and am supposed to hear from them sometime today, but we'll see what happens.

the scamming is REALLY out of control-5 scammers in 2 weeks! Just ridiculous! Like I think I said, if they really cracked down on these people, then maybe the whole thing would stop. But, as of now, they are just asked to give the credits back. I really despise the whole issue.

I may just take a break from Listia for a little while just because of all this, and another another gaggle of old crows!!
