I have one of these unique scales !....the photos just illustrate how you can use its cover lid as a tray for tiny items.... especially items that could roll off its flat built-in tray.... also, it has 4 different weight modes..... those modes appear to the right side of the lighted display.... the third one down is displayed as.... oz of course that is for "ounces" extremely accurate scale for weighing envelopes for mailing out !.... ok, in ounces the cover lid weighs 0.52 oz..... you won't need to worry about getting the weight of the item that you place into that lid as it's being used as a tray, because..... you will put the empty lid on top of this scale's built-in platform..... you simply press the scale's "tare" button and the scale will automatically set to 0.00 automatic calibration !.... now a normal circulated u s penny will weigh .09 oz when placed into that tray, and.... circulated u s nickel will weigh .17 oz.... here's a true an honest test, again.... without using its lid for a tray.... i placed that same u s penny on the scales built-in platform..... and it accurately weighs .09 oz..... and the same u s nickel, alone weighs .17 oz !!!..... i already have one of these little gems and..... i don't get any mail returned for wrong postage on the envelopes !.... and its 2 "aaa" batteries last a lot of weighings, because this scale.... automaticlly switches "off" in a minute when it's not being used..... have fun bidding to win this very accurate mini scale.... i really like and trust mine, and.... i have one of those "high precision" larger digital scales that cost $ 134.95 a while back..... well, now it stays on a shelf, because this mini scale matches every test that i did to compare this with the much higher cost scale !!.... yall have a great week and.... win this, you'll love and trust it !!....
