What do you mean by registering the card? I usually just use new giftcards without doing anything before/ Thanks for your time

RE: Registering SBX Cards - you don't NEED to register it to use it - BUT if you sign up online and set up an account (it costs nothing) you just log in and "ADD Cards" to your account each time you get a new one or add eCodes to Cards you already have or you can load the cards online or at a store. The benefit of this is if you win Starbucks Cards here, or anywhere else, all you need is the card number and the pin of the one you won to automatically apply the balance to the card you have registered AND each time you use your card it keeos track of all your transactions and you earn Starbucks Rewards "stars" (you like points) and they mail you a postcard for any FREE beverage of your choice after every 15? (I think) stars you earn and they also mail you every year without fail a birthday postcard for any free beverage and have other promotions they also offer to registered Starbucks customers - for instance I was sent a Black Starbucks card a couple years ago that gave me more rewards and a discount on certain things - then a year later they srnt me a Gold Starbucks Card and more promos and discounts went with that - now I use the App on my phone which they just scan and it tracks everything through my Starbucks account.

And... Each time I win or earn or am given a Starbucks card I register it to my account and then transfer the balance to my main card and then unregister the empty card once I have transferred the balance off to my card and then all my points or "stars" get tracked etc ... It's also great to have one main card registered not only to transfer easy balances to help save on shipping but to get the numbers and pin through Listia messaging for faster and confirmed transactions. Also if you lose the card - you just have to transfer the balance or alert them it's stolen so your card will be deactivated and you won't lose your balance - if you don't have a Starbucks Card you can pick one up at any Starbucks and you don't have to put any money on it then or pay for it you just let them know you are going to register and load it online. You can set up your account easily and register cards that don't ave a balance on them to be ready to transfer any other cards you win online or codes you recieve though awards or email etc. It's really worth it and they do send Free Drink Postcards so it saves money and time - check it out and if you have an iPhone or Android they have an app so you don't have to carry a card at all...
