It powered Earth's Industrial Revolution, drove our boats, looms, and trains, then was replaced with more efficient sources of energy, like electricity, gasoline. and nuclear fission as we headed into the modern age.

But on Kalighoul, the birthplace of Mr. Hero, steam continued to dominate the world. Kalighoul's ruler, the insidious Teknophage, harnessed it to drive his fortress of pain, used it to push gigabytes of data through his hi-tech computers, and it became the very blood that was pumped through his soldiers veins.

Mr. Hero was born into the teknophage's army of darkness. But the steam that coursed through his metallic body was pure.
Steam.
It led the people of Earth into a brighter future, while stoking the flames of Kalighoul's hell!
