how long is the chain and is it silver or silver color?

16 inch---i did the soft cloth test, so i beleave its silver.
cleaning the item with a soft cloth: Real silver will usually leave black marks on the cloth. These marks are caused when sterling silver oxidizes. Exposure to air or other chemicals results in tarnishing that does not occur with fake silver.
i got this from e-how so i can not garantee i just did what they said and i got light black marks
